JA Solar Holdings Co. Ltd. has selected Tigo Energy to provide optimizers for its newly launched smart module line.
JA Solar says integrating its smart modules with Tigo's power optimizers in the junction box improves conversion efficiency, safety and panel-level monitoring. The arrangement also enables up to 30% longer strings.
Tigo says its power optimizers meet the National Electrical Code rapid shutdown specifications in the U.S., enabling JA's smart modules to satisfy the requirements set by the new 2014 code.
