Andrew Kolchins has founded Titan Energy Markets, a financial services company that will focus on institutional brokerage and advisory services for the environmental and energy markets.
The company will include services for renewable energy credit transactions in both the compliance and national voluntary renewable energy credit (REC) markets. The firm will also initiate coverage in the California carbon market created by A.B.32 and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
Titan will work closely with developers of renewable energy and methane capture and destruction projects to secure medium- and long-term power purchase and offtake agreements. The business will serve utilities, wholesale and retail energy suppliers, financial institutions, independent power producers and project developers focusing on renewable and clean energy technologies.
Kolchins spent the last seven years building and managing a REC brokerage desk, during which time he led a team that secured over 1,000 MW of bundled green energy power purchase agreements.
