Trina Solar Ltd. has acquired a 49.9 MW ground-mounted photovoltaic power project in the U.K. from Good Energy Group PLC.
The solar power plant received planning consent in January and will incorporate Trina Solar's PV modules. Construction will start in the third quarter of the year, with interconnection scheduled for the first quarter of 2015.
If connection occurs prior to the end of March 2015, it will be entitled to receive 1.4 Renewables Obligation Certificates per MWh under the U.K. government incentive program.
