Trina Solar Ltd. says the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) industry association has approved two standards the company has submitted.
The first specification (SEMI PV44-0513) concerns the standardization of packaging, particularly during the transportation of PV modules, while the second specification (SEMI PV45-0513) lays out minimum quality standards for polyethylene-vinyl acetate. Trina Solar says the standards aim to ensure greater consistency across the industry.
