Trina Solar says a new line of its 72-cell modules has been certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and TUV Rheinland, according to UL 1703 and IEC 61215/61730, respectively, to have a rated system voltage of 1,000 V.
The dual-rated modules can provide a lower total cost of installation and greater inventory and project flexibility than lower-voltage modules, according to the company. They feature high-transparency, 4.0 mm-thick tempered glass to enhance module durability and MC4PLUS photovoltaic connectors to increase system reliability.
The new modules are backed by Trina's 25-year linear power warranty. They can be used to satisfy installation requirements for either commercial rooftop or utility scale installations in North America or Europe, Trina says.
