Trina Solar Ltd. has a contract with Linuo Solar Power Co. Ltd. to supply 23 MW of photovoltaic modules for the latter's distributed generation (DG) solar project in China's Shandong province.
The project will use 92,000 Trina Solar TSM-250PC05A modules. Shipments are expected to be completed by the end of June.
‘This year the Chinese government announced a target of 8 GW of DG solar project installations, and we believe there is significant potential for Trina to capitalize on the growth opportunities in the DG market segment in the second half of 2014,’ says Zhiguo Zhu, president of Trina Solar's module business unit.
