Trina Solar Ltd., an integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products, has chosen San Francisco as the location for its North America base.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom noted that the city is a center for cleantech innovation and will continue to grow as a destination for Chinese companies' U.S. operations. Arturo Herrero, vice president of sales and marketing with Trina Solar, added that the San Francisco location will enable the company to manage the significant demand for its products in the region.
