UniRac Inc., a manufacturer of solar photovoltaic mounting solutions, has provided its PV mounting technology to Studio 804 – a nonprofit organization through the University of Kansas – as part of an initiative to help rebuild Greensburg, Kan.: a city that was destroyed by a category F5 tornado in May 2007.
‘The Studio 804 sustainable prototype will be one of the first projects completed in the rebuilding of Greensburg,’ says Studio 804's Jessica Buechler. ‘The installation of our photovoltaic array is a key component in our process, and we could not have done it without the generous help from UniRac.’
As part of its contribution, UniRac provided eight RapidRac G10 mounting solutions – a racking system for commercial flat roof installations.
