Upsolar, an international solar module supplier, has founded an Italy-based subsidiary called Upsolar Italia SRL. Headquartered in Treviso, Italy, the office will serve as the hub of Upsolar's various projects throughout the country.
The first major project serviced through Upsolar Italia is a 7.3 MW solar photovoltaic park in Alessandria for RAL SRL, a company instituted by hydropower producer Compagnia Valdostana delle Acque SPA and Renergetica SRL.
‘Strengthened by a national feed-in tariff, the Italian solar PV market has shown exceptional growth in recent years and was a clear choice for Upsolar's expansion,’ says Enrico Carniato, Upsolar Italia's general manager.
