Urban Grid Solar, a Richmond, Va.-based renewable energy company, has signed a contract with Million Air, a corporate airport in Sandston, Va., for a 243 kW roof-mounted solar photovoltaic installation.
The array will be distributed over three large aircraft hangars and will be visible to passengers arriving to the Richmond International Airport. According to Urban Grid Solar, this is the first large-scale solar installation at an airport in Virginia.
