Austin, Texas-based USA Wire & Cable has signed an agreement with Amphenol to distribute the Helios H4 Solar Connector in North America.
Competitor connectors for 10 awg are rated at 30 amps, while the H4 – featuring Radsock contact technology -Â is rated at 44 amps, which is the highest current rating in the industry, according to USA Wire & Cable. The Radsok contact system has only 25-ohm resistance (versus 50 ohms for the industry leader), resulting in lower power loss, the company adds.
Additionally, the H4 is made with 25-year military-grade plastic for long-term UV and ozone resistance. The H4 meets 2008 NEC requirements, is both UL- and TUV-approved and is RoHS-compliant.
