United States Green Energy Corp. (USGE), a provider of photovoltaic technology integrated into building materials, has released the FlatRoof Energy System powered by its PowerCell module.

According to the company, the system is easy to install and suitable for commercial flat roofs, including low-strength roofs, or roofs with high snow load requirements, as well as residential flat roofs with architectural restrictions.

The FlatRoof Energy System has a fiberglass mounting system that can be readily installed in any direction, with no roof penetrations, USGE says. The system provides 880 W of DC power with less than 300 lbs. of distributed weight per roofer's square.

As with all USGE products, the FlatRoof Energy System is manufactured in the U.S. and is compliant with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the company adds.
