Versar Inc., a Springfield, Va.-based project management company, says that its joint venture with Johnson Controls Federal Systems has completed a solar energy project at the Spottswood W. Robinson III and Robert R. Merhige Jr. U.S. Courthouse in Richmond, Va.
Versar provided the design and installation of the 115 kW roof-mounted system, which consists of 500 modules spanning 21,000 square feet. The Versar-Johnson Controls joint venture was awarded this project through a competitive best-value procurement from the U.S. General Services Administration.
