Via:Sys Intelligent Video Analytics and Surveillance Grid Co. have entered a partnership targeting North America's commercial solar power industry with a video surveillance system featuring video analytic technology developed by Via:Sys. Surveillance Grid. Via:Sys provides outdoor perimeter security systems, and Surveillance Grid delivers IP-based security products to the public safety, enterprise and energy industries.
The companies will deploy the same Perimeter Security system that is installed throughout Europe. Via:Sys products are currently used to protect solar power facilities producing approximately 180 MW of solar generated energy, the company says.
