Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) has partnered with VisionSun Design, a design and project management consulting firm, to award a contract to solar energy company Bella Energy to install 30 1.75 kW solar electric systems on a 30-unit affordable housing site.
The 52.5 kW system will be installed at Diagonal Court Townhouses in North Boulder, Colo., which consists of five separate buildings with six units each, for a total of 30 units. Each unit is individually metered by the local utility, Xcel Energy.
VisionSun Design designed the entire project, including project feasibility and system requirements, and then managed the vendor selection and installation project-management process. Bella Energy Inc. designs, installs and services renewable energy projects throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
