Utah-based residential solar provider Vivint Solar has expanded into the North Baltimore and Frederick areas of Maryland and plans to hire 85 employees in the combined new regional offices.
Vivint Solar currently operates in California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C.
The company says it first made its offerings available to Maryland residents in January 2013. Maryland is the 14th largest solar market in the U.S., according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.
