Voltaix, a provider of materials designed to enhance the performance of semiconductors and solar cells, has named Peter A. Smith CEO and a member of the board of directors. He succeeds Mark K. Fine, who has served as the company's interim CEO since January 2010 and will remain at Voltaix, succeeding John P. de Neufville as president.
Smith is a 20-year high technology industry veteran who previously worked at served at Motorola and Honeywell. Most recently, he served as vice president of corporate strategy for the Bussmann Division of Cooper Industries.
