Germany-based voltwerk electronics GmbH says its 200 kW, 300 kW and 350 kW inverters have achieved unit certification 30.09.2011, which can be used as plant certification by plant operators under the terms of the German Federal Association of the Energy and Water Management (BDEW).
The requirement for production plant certification applies to installations from 1 MW and those at a distance of 2 km or more from the grid connection point. The requirement for production unit certification under the terms of the BDEW directive ‘Production Plants Connecting to the Medium Voltage Network’ for the operation of an inverter connecting to the medium-voltage network was implemented this month.
