W. C. Heraeus, based in Hanau, Germany, has added a new business unit focused on solar photovoltaics. Andy London, who has more than 30 years of experience supplying thick-film pastes to the electronics industry, will head the division.
The company, which provides processing, trading and production of industrial precious metals and special metals, says that its activity in the photovoltaics industry began in its thick-films materials division, which focuses on the electronics industry.
W. C. Heraeus offers solutions and products for all three photovoltaic generations – silicon-based solar cells, thin-film solar cells and organic solar cells.
