Western Nevada College has completed a 200 kW solar installation at its Carson City, Nev., campus. A dedication ceremony is planned for next week.
The project, which features 840 ground-mounted modules, is projected to save the college as much as $28,000 each year in electricity costs.
The array was constructed by Black Rock Solar of Reno, in conjunction with NV Energy's SolarGenerations program. It was subsidized with incentives offered by NV Energy to offset installation costs.
