Applied Solar, a developer of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products, has selected San Jose, Calif.-based Westpak Inc. to conduct preliminary environmental testing on the company's PV roof membrane module.
Prior to full-scale production early next year, the module will be submitted for qualification as outlined in UL1703 and IEC61215. Westpak says its extensive experience in testing solar products will help ensure a successful and timely completion of this certification.
