Wilkes-Barre Chamber Seeks Photovoltaic System Proposals

0

The Greater Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Chamber of Business and Industry has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the development of one or more solar photovoltaic generation systems on vacant property owned by the chamber or its affiliates.

The properties consist of four parcels on two sites totaling approximately 250 acres, located in and around the Hanover Industrial Estates and the Crestwood Industrial Park. Specifically, the scope of this RFP is to identify and select the most qualified turnkey photovoltaic system vendor to engineer, design, deliver, install, operate and maintain a grid-connected solar PV system that maximizes the power generated (and the financial return to the chamber) on each of the selected sites, the chamber says.

A further goal of this RFP is to make lower-cost renewable energy available to tenants of the industrial parks. The successful respondent to this RFP will be required to contact the local utilities as needed to successfully execute the requirements of this RFP.

Proposals are due June 16. For more information, click here.
