Wurth Solar, a Germany-based manufacturer of solar power modules and a provider of photovoltaic systems, has signed an agreement with Bar Energies, based in Tel Aviv, Israel. This agreement allows the company to enter the Israeli solar market.
Wurth says its initial activities in Israel will focus on standard roof-mounted and roof-integrated solar power systems and will later include special solutions, such as systems for generating solar power in kibbutz communities. In addition, the solar power experts in Israel also see excellent market opportunities in the facade integration sector.
With an average of 2,000 hours of sunshine per year and government funding programs in place, Israel offers excellent conditions for investing in solar power systems, Wurth notes. Both private and commercial photovoltaic systems are subsidized up to an output of 50 kW.
