Wurth Solar has been awarded International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61646 certification for its frameless GeneCIS photovoltaic module system and Starfix I Frameless substructure, which was specially developed for the system.
GeneCIS modules are float-mounted, preventing mechanical stress from forming in the glass composite and improving module durability, Wurth Solar says.
The Starfix frameless photovoltaic system is suitable for deployment on Kalzip and trapezoidal sheet roofing or comparable roof finishes. The system can also be used in ground-mounted installations.
