Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd., a vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturer, says its PV modules have been installed at a 10 MW utility-scale solar project in Larissa, Greece.
According to the company, the installation represents the largest solar plant in the country and is expected to produce enough energy to power approximately 3,700 homes.
The project was developed by Selected Textiles SA, a Greece-based textiles group, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Selected Energy SA, and was constructed by Biosar Energy SA. It was financed on a long-term, non-recourse basis by Piraeus Bank's project finance team.
