Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd., also known as Yingli Solar, says it has surpassed 2 GW of cumulative solar panel deliveries in the Americas.

‘We're honored to reach this historic milestone and thank our customers and stakeholders for making this possible,’ states Robert Petrina, managing director of Yingli Green Energy Americas. ‘The investments that we've made in building highly capable local teams allow Yingli to provide differentiated services to our sophisticated and fast-growing customer base.’

Yingli estimates that it has delivered over 6 million panels in the region, powering more than 80,000 homes and 5,000 business and institutions. Since early 2013, Yingli notes it has deployed more than 150 MW of its solar panels in Latin America and the Caribbean.

As for the U.S., Liansheng Miao, chairman and CEO of Yingli Green Energy, says, ‘The United States remains an important market with strong growth potential, and we are very optimistic about the opportunities that it affords us.

‘In addition, emerging markets are growing in significance as Latin America's PV industry is catalyzed by reforms enabling the accelerated deployment of solar. With a network of five regional offices across the Americas and dedicated, experienced local teams, Yingli will continue to provide our local customers with high-quality solar panels and exceptional service.’
