Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. is supplying 72 MW of multi- and monocrystalline solar panels to U.K.-based installer Solarcentury Holdings Ltd.
Under the terms of the agreement, Yingli will deliver approximately 168,000 solar panels by the end of this year. Solarcentury will install the panels on projects throughout the U.K. These projects are expected to produce a combined total of 65,000 MWh of electricity per year.
‘Solar is still the most popular form of renewable energy among the U.K. public – it's unsurprising because developing our solar capacity stands to benefit many people and businesses,’ says Matthew Boulton, chief operating officer of Solarcentury.
