China-based module manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. has announced that it supplied 30 MW AC of PV modules for two solar projects in Virginia to Hecate Energy, a developer, owner and operator of power plants.

JinkoSolar says its high-efficiency modules are powering the 10 MW AC Clarke County project located in Double Tollgate, Va. Connected in June, this project is the first of two phases, with another 10 MW AC scheduled for 2019. JinkoSolar will also be supplying 20 MW AC for the Cherrydale project currently under construction. Located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, this project marks the first utility-scale solar farm built in Northampton County, Va., according to the company.

“JinkoSolar is pleased to be working with Hecate Energy on the two notable projects,” says Nigel Cockroft, general manager of JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc. “We are especially pleased to be a contributor to the recent growth of solar in the state of Virginia.”

“Hecate Energy is pleased to use JinkoSolar modules on these projects and looks forward to continuing its relationship with Jinko on future projects,” adds Philip Mooney, Hecate’s vice president of engineering.
