Array Technologies Inc. (ATI) has finalized shipments of its DuraTrack HZ v3 single-axis trackers to the 191 MW Springbok 2 solar farm, which is located 70 miles north of Los Angeles and is expected to reach operation before the end of this year.

8minutenergy Renewables LLC is the project developer and co-owner of Springbok 2, and Swinerton Renewable Energy is serving as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider. An affiliate of D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments LLC (DESRI) led the equity investment in the project in 2015, also arranging financing from a group of lenders and tax equity investors.

ATI notes the 137 MW Springbok 1 solar farm also features its DuraTrack HZ v3 trackers, which the company says will help boost the two projects’ power production and lower maintenance costs.

“We are thrilled to continue to be a part of the incredible work performed by industry-leading renewable companies Swinerton, 8minutenergy and DESRI,” says Ron Corio, ATI founder and CEO. “Our partnership will ensure that Springbok 1 and 2 are providing the citizens of Los Angeles the best value in renewable solar energy for many years to come.”
