Portugal-based Martifer Solar, a subsidiary of Martifer SGPS, recently completed the construction of a 3.5 MW PV system on the roof of the Canal Logistics building in Brussels, Belgium.
The project, which was completed for the company Orka, is the second-largest PV installation to date in the region, claims Martifer Solar, and it comprises 14,220 modules installed on fixed structures and will have a production capacity of 3.15 GWh/year.
Martifer Solar was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction and will also be in charge of providing the operations and maintenance services.
The company says it has been present in Belgium since 2008 and has already installed more than 140 PV projects in the country.
Earlier this year, Martifer Solar built a 30 MW PV plant in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
