National Parks Conservation Association Launches Solar Program With SunPower

Through a new program with SunPower, the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) will provide opportunities for its members and supporters to go solar, thereby helping to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality.

To launch the program, SunPower will make an initial minimum donation of $10,000 to NPCA. Now through July 11, 2019, each NPCA member or supporter who has a SunPower home solar system installed through this program will be eligible to receive a $500 mail-in rebate and SunPower will provide a donation of $500 to NPCA.

“The health of our national parks is directly linked to the health of the air, waterways and communities that surround them,” says Theresa Pierno, president and CEO of NPCA. “Through this program, our members and supporters have the opportunity to invest in the long-term health of our planet, supporting sustainable energy and our ongoing work to ensure our national parks have clean air and adequate funding.”

NPCA members and supporters interested in the program will work with a SunPower dealer to determine if solar is a good fit for their home, as well as explore financing options.

“By making solar more accessible to NPCA members and supporters, we’re advancing the organization’s efforts to protect our national parks while also supporting SunPower’s mission to build a more sustainable future,” adds Norm Taffe, SunPower’s executive vice president of residential solar.
