Solar EnerTech Corp. has obtained VDE certification for its photovoltaic cells and applications, indicating their conformity with VDE standards and confirming compliance with the protective requirements of applicable European Commission directives.
The VDE mark, awarded for photovoltaic components and systems, is a symbol for electrical, mechanical, thermal, toxic, radiological and other hazards.
‘We are very pleased to obtain this certification, which will improve our business opportunities in the European marketplace,’ says Leo Young, CEO of Solar EnerTech. ‘In addition to the recently secured VDE certification mark, Solar EnerTech holds all other major international PV certifications, including IEC 61215 and CE.’
The company notes that its manufacturing process is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified, and it is in the process of applying for UL and CSA certifications.
