Green Street Power Partners LLC (GSPP) has completed the construction of a 5 MW ground-mounted community solar project in Boxborough, Mass.
One-hundred percent of the power is being sold to project partner Littleton Electric Light & Water Departments (LELWD). LELWD has already subscribed more than 2,000 customers to the community solar project.
“Since there are limited solar energy system opportunities on municipal land, we hope this project encourages other landowners to explore ways in which they can make their properties more sustainable or even provide direct energy benefits to others within the community,” says Adam L. Duchesneau, town planner for the Town of Boxborough.
This project marks GSPP’s eighth community solar project in the past year.
